the pride to own what the experts call D.O.C. (Controlled
Denomination of Origin). The producers grow and harvest
the grapes under rules that optimize his quality and they
assure a control reliable from his production origin.

Rafael has a great number of cellars. They offer another
attraction to the visitor. The guided visits to their wineries
and the most exquisite wines tasting make this circuit as
on of the favorites with tourists. The area has important
cellars of international fame, and also small, almost handmade
establishments of great quality. In the last years San Rafael
has also become a great producer of cider and champagne.
