City we find an area of rural nature where you can do
several outdoors activities in a special climate, such
as: camps, trekking, cavalcades, mountain bike rides and
superior mountain climbing. There is a hostel on the route
that is used as base camp for hunting and fishing trips.
Going through a dirty road around Atuel River, you arrive
to El Sosneado Lagoon, good for fishing and diving. Also
you can visit the Indians Cave, witness of our previous
cultures and the ruins of the formerly famous Termas El
Sosneado Hotel. It has swimming pools with thermal water
outdoors that today still conserve their healing properties. It
is also possible to make a nostalgic and shocking expeditionto
to El Glaciar Las Lágrimas (The Tears Glacier). It is
the place where the plane that transported a delegation
of Uruguayan rugby players together with some of their
relatives in October of 1.972 fell in the Andes Mountains.
The remains of the plane are still conserved. This story
thrilled the world with the news and the story was made
into the book and the movie ALIVE...
